Email Address: robin@sublimeserpent.com Ah!

The memories! My youth spent with an Apple IIe and more software than I could count... which, it seems, is what I spent a lot of time doing!

I was a young, young hacker, phreaker, bbs and ae afficianado. And seeing the hard work and fine research you have put into this site helps bring it all back!

In fact, I still have *everything* - cherry and in my old bedroom at home on the east coast. I shall take some pictures and send them along if you are interetsed. In particular I had a number of IIe cards which were indicitave of the times. One made by (I believe) a famous hacker named 'Crackowitz', the card is a wonderful processor interupt, and dumps the user into a command line once the software has run it's start-up... anyway... pictures!

Thanks again, great site!
~Robin

Email Address: band@victorianmusic.com I have been a MAC user for only a short time, about 5 years or so. In that short time though I have become a serios advocate for the Macintosh OS. I am a musician and I would be lost without the power and stability of OS X and Apple computers. These computers has a great story behind them. From the humble beginings in California to the power house underdogs of today.
There is no better computing system than the Apple and you have done a great job in this website celebrating it. Keep up the good work.?

I was one of the most well known French "crackers" on the Apple II in the mid 80's : over 100 software cracked...
On the over hand I was also an Apple II contributor : have written two Apple II commercial action games.
25 years have past since the first time I've touched an Apple II, but the emotion is still there.
Keep going with your great website, is is important to let people know where "PC's" came from... and where are the roots of the computers used every day.
Great !

Email Address: rbarton@ieee.org Greetings Steve Weyhrich:

I used to frequent the Apple areas on GEnie and read your posts from time to time. I was pleasantly surprised to find this site. I found your site via Googlesearch after I noticed an Apple IIc Plus, which I had not heard of, being auctioned by someone on eBay. Anyway, I used the vanity handle Proptosis on GEnie, if you remember me. I appreciate seeing your history on the web!

Email Address: jonathan_newman@comcast.net When I growing up there were two or three computers in our house that I remember, The first was a 286 (I think) That my father built, the second was a Macintosh SE/30, and the last was a Apple IIgs. I think we had the IIgs the longest, it was a Woz special, and my Father told me he got it brand new. My dad made a math program for it, and I remeber learning to spell with speller bee. There were also painting programs, and games we would play on it all the time. We, as kids, like the IIgs over the SE/30 because the SE/30 was Black and white, and the Apple IIgs was color!

But our IIgs got sold.

Now I just bought an Apple IIgs off of ebay and plan on building it up to be as good as it can get! additionally I plan on finding all that old software I grew up with!

Email Address: leojs@yahoo.com I cut lawns all summer and sold my Suzuki RM80 for my first Sider II 20MB hard drive ($995). No more 4-floppy ASCII Express! I moved on to Networks ][ BBS and finally to GBBS where ultimately I opened "Ultimate Dimensions BBS", a decent sized BBS for Warez and good role play BBS (anyone remember Thieve's Den?). fav. BBS's of the day=Devil's Possession,The Curse (Pete, where are you man?), Kings Lair Richmond VA Those were some of the best times of my childhood. I literally remember holding my piss when a new ware hit to get it first! If any of you know any of the people or stuff I'm talking about go ahead and hit me at leojs@yahoo.com.

Email Address: funstones@care4free.net Just getting to grips with a load of Apple II's I've acquired. Keeping one for best and offloading the rest, look on EBay for a Europlus if interested. I've also got a load of miscellaneous bits and pieces, screws, badges, keyboard button switches and chips all new old stock so if anyone needs an obscure bit get in touch.
